Last post before I return to a static home page.
My granddaughter arrived this morning, November 23, 2009 at 4:20am. She weighed 6lbs 15ozs.
She is beautiful as are her mother and father, who both did a splendid job with a 21-hour labor.
A huge thanks to the in-laws, who made the 16-hour wait in a noisy hospital waiting room bearable.
A huge thanks to UNM Hospital, especially the midwives and nurses in Labor and Delivery for taking such good care of my daughter, her partner, and their daughter.
I alternate between giddiness and weepiness.
A granddaughter.
Little M, you are beautiful. Wonderfully tiny and perfect.
May you be everything you want to be and be that girl in that song.
May your life be nothing more nothing less than reaching your dreams.
So dream big, Little M. Dream big.
